Prayers of Padre Pio

"Prayer is the best weapon we have; it is the key to God's heart. You must speak to Jesus not only with your lips but with your heart; in fact on certain occasions you should speak to Him only with your heart.”

Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Picture
(This novena prayer was recited daily by St. Pio for all those who asked for his prayers.

The faithful are invited to recite it daily, so as to be spiritually united with the prayer of St. Pio)

I. O my Jesus, You have said, ‘Truly I say to you, ask and it will be given you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.’ Behold, I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of...

Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory be to the Father...
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

II. O my Jesus, You have said, ‘Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.’ Behold, in Your name, I ask the Father for the grace of...

Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory be to the Father...
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

III. O my Jesus, You have said, ‘Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away.’ Encouraged by Your infallible words, I now ask for the grace of...

Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory be to the Father...
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us poor sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of You, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate heart of Mary, Your tender mother and ours. Amen.
Salve Regina....
St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us.
St. Pio of Pietrelcina, pray for us and help us.

Stay with me, Lord
Picture
Response : Stay With Me, Lord
Stay with me, Lord
, for without Your presence I forget You; You know how easily I abandon You.
Stay with me, Lord, for without Your strength I fail; You know how weak I am.
Stay with me, Lord, for without you my fervor fails. You are my life.
Stay with me, Lord, for without You I am in darkness: You are my light.
Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.
Stay with me, Lord, and let me hear Your voice.
Stay with me, Lord, that I may follow You.
Stay with me, Lord, that I may love you more.
Stay with me, Lord, that I may stay with You. If you would have me to be faithful, stay with me, Lord.
Stay with me, Jesus, for though my soul is poor, it desires to be an abode of love for You, a place of consolation.
Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late, the day is ending, life is passing; death, judgment, and eternity are coming soon. Now, I must muster all my forces, so that I do not faint on the road. I have great need of You on this journey. It is getting late and death is approaching. Darkness, temptations, dryness, crosses and troubles beset me, and Oh, how much I need You, my good Jesus, in this night of exile.
Stay with me tonight, Jesus, because this night of life is so full of dangers and I have need of You. Grant that, like Your disciples, I may recognize You in the breaking of the bread. Grant that the Eucharistic union may be the light which casts out the darkness, the force to sustain me and the one means to sanctify my soul.
Stay with me, Lord, because, when death arrives, if I cannot be really with You in Holy Communion, then I shall wish to remain united with You at least through grace and love.
Stay with me, Jesus, I do not ask You for divine consolation because I do not deserve it, but I beg You with all my strength for the gift of your most holy presence.
Stay with me, Lord - You alone I seek; Your Love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, for I love You. You alone I love. Let me seek no other reward but the increase of that love, that my love may be real and firm and practical. I ask no more than to love You with all my heart on earth and to follow You with all-perfected love for all eternity.
Amen.

St. Pio of Pietrelcina - Prayer for Healing
Picture
Beloved Padre Pio, today I come to add my prayer to the thousands of prayers offered to thee every day by those who love and venerate thee.
They ask for cures and healings, earthly and spiritual blessings, and peace for body and mind.
And because of thy friendship with the Lord, He heals those you ask to be healed, and forgives those you ask to be forgiven.
Through thy visible wounds of the Cross, which you did bear for fifty years, you were chosen in our time to glorify the crucified Jesus.  Because the Cross has been replaced by other symbols, please help us to bring it back in our midst, for we acknowledge it is the only true sign of salvation.  As we lovingly recall the wounds that pierced thy hands, feet and side, we not only remember the blood thou didst shed in pain, but thy smile, and the invisible halo of sweet-smelling flowers that surrounded thee, the perfume of sanctity.  Amen.

Our Father...Hail Mary...Glory Be...
St. Pio of Pietrelcina, pray for us and help us.

O heavenly treasurer of all graces, Mother of God and my mother Mary, since you are the first-born daughter of the Eternal Father and hold in your hand His omnipotence, be moved to pity my soul and grant me the graces which I fervently ask of you.  Hail Mary…
O merciful dispenser of divine graces, Mary most Holy, mother of the Eternal Incarnate Word who has crowned you with His immense wisdom, look upon the greatness of my sorrow and grant me the graces I need so much.  Hail Mary…

O my Mother, treasurer of all graces, refuge of poor sinners, consolation of the afflicted, hope of those who despair and most powerful help of Christians, I place all my confidence in you, being sure that you will obtain for me from Jesus the graces which I so much desire, if they are for the good of my soul.

Prayer to St. Pio of Pietrelcina

Picture
O St. Pio, be thou my guide, to God in Heaven, stay by my side.  Enliven my heart with grace from above, that I may evermore fervently love, the Father and Jesus, my Saviour Divine, Almighty, Eternal, Thy God and mine.  When morning gilds the skies, let this my prayer arise, that one small drop of Precious Blood, which Jesus shed upon the rood, bedew my soul, renew my faith, to live for God Incarnate.  Grant that I may always be, preserved in Holy Purity, armed against temptations snare, zealous for goodness everywhere, selfless and holy in all I desire, living for Jesus as love does require. Commend me to God and to Holy Mary, that in the "Good Fight", I may never weary.  May I often have the joy to receive as my guest, Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, may the arms of His Blessed Mother mild, enfold me with love as her little child.  God grant that my own loved children be, blessed with good health, grace, and sanctity. Remember my parents, my spouse and my brothers, my sisters, my friends, my relations and others.  Incline thine ear to their trustful appeal, be ever near them in want or in weal, and beg God's Merciful Mother Blest, for our loved ones departed, eternal rest. Amen.

Prayer to Our Guardian Angel & to the Holy Archangels

Picture
Angel of God, my guardian dear
To whom God's love entrusts me here
Ever this day/night, be at my side
To light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

St. Gabriel
, the Archangel, clothe us with the strength of God.
St. Raphael, the Archangel, medicate every painful wound.
Lift us up from the weight of our weariness and discouragement, and accompany us along the road to Heaven.
St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle.
Be our Safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Act of Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary
(Padre Pio prayed this prayer on the 1st Saturday of every month)
Picture
O Mary, Virgin most powerful and Mother of mercy,
Queen of heaven and Refuge of sinners,
we consecrate ourselves to your Immaculate Heart.
We consecrate to you our very being and our whole life; all that we have, all that we love, all that we are. To you we give our bodies, our hearts
and our souls; to you we give our homes, our families, our country.  We desire that all that is in us and around us may belong to you, and may share in the benefits of your motherly benediction.

And that this act of consecration may be truly efficacious
and lasting, we renew this day at your feet the promises
of our Baptism and our first Holy Communion.
We pledge ourselves to profess courageously and
at all times the truths, of our Holy Faith, and to live
as Catholics who are duly submissive to all the directions
of the Pope and the Bishops in communion with him.
We pledge ourselves to keep the commandments of God
and His Church, in particular to keep holy the Lord’s day.
We likewise pledge ourselves to make the consoling
practices of the Christian religion, and above all,
Holy Communion, an integral part of our lives,
in so far as we shall be able to do so.

Finally, we promise you, O glorious Mother of God
and loving Mother of all, to devote ourselves whole-heartedly
to your service, in order to hasten and assure, through the
sovereignty of your Immaculate Heart, the coming of
the kingdom of the Sacred Heart of your adorable Son,
in our own hearts and in the hearts of all, in our
country and in all the world, as in heaven, so on earth. Amen.

St Pio and Guardian Angels
Picture

Our faith teaches us that Our Lord gives each of us, as a sing of his infinite love, an angel as a companion in our life to protect us. Padre Pio was protected and consoled by his angel and he also made use of his guardian angel to assist his spiritual children in their difficulties. Padre Pio would say, "when you cannot come to me, send me your Guardian Angel. He can take a message from you to me and I will assist you as much as I can."
Padre Pio would also encourage his spiritual children to involve often this Guardian Angel, this benevolent Angel, and repeat this beautiful prayer. "Angel of God, my guardian dear..." and at the moment of death, your soul will see this Angel, so good, who accompanied you through life and was so liberal in maternal care. The Holy Father Pope Pius XI, when addressing a group of children from all parts of Italy, he said; "Never forget your life companion. Show him reverence for his presence, for his loyalty and for his good will and have great confidence in his protection."  The Holy Father, every day of his life, repeatedly call on his Angel for help, particularly in times of difficulty and trials.

"When you cannot come to me, send me your Guardian Angel. He can take a message from you to me and I will assist you as much as I can."  - Padre Pio

Chaplet of St. Pio

With confidence, I beseech Thee to grant me, through his intercession, the grace of .......... (silently and humbly make your request) which I ardently desire.
Say 3 sets of Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be on each of the beads.
